Job Description
Pay: $19.00/hr
Shift: Monday - Friday 7:30am-4pm
Location: Douglassville, PA
Position:
At Techo-Bloc, our general laborers are a crucial piece of the yard puzzle. This role is a perfect fit for those newer to the industry, or anyone looking for a career steppingstone in warehousing or manufacturing.
Our laborers are an integral part of our manufacturing and warehousing process. Your day-to-day will entail inspecting, repairing pallets, handling and inspecting concrete blocks and loading or unloading trucks as needed.
Duties/Responsibilities:
• Complete examination of returned pallets by checking height and quality by applying knowledge of proper company standards as instructed and applicable for in process systems.
• Assist with receiving orders and sorting/stacking pallets.
• Operate a forklift to transport pallets through the yard and to load/unload trucks.
• Follow established guideline for policy and procedure to ensure QA Standards are met or exceeded.
• Complete examination of finished product by checking height, shape, color, and consistency by applying knowledge of proper company standards as instructed and applicable for in process systems.
• Building displays and sample pallets for vendors.
• Complete packaging by adding packaging materials, top sheet, labels, and performing a final QC check on the skid of finished product before sending to the yard for final transport.
• All products must be packaged neatly and securely
• Assist forklift operators with loading trucks as needed.
• Maintain a clean workstation and assist with yard clean up.
• Wear personal protective equipment and ensures safety policies are being followed.
• Follow company’s proper lock out tag out and safety procedures.
• Behaves in accordance with Techo-Bloc Vision, Mission, and Values.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Skills/Abilities:
• Be able to read and comprehend simple instructions, correspondence.
• Be able to write simple correspondence and/or memos.
• Be able to work collaboratively and communicate effectively.
• Be able to perform each essential duty to company standards.
• Be able to add, subtract, multiply and divide.
• Be able to reason and apply common sense.
• Be able to handle problems and situations effectively.
• Be punctual; being on time for your scheduled shifts.
• Be able to work individually and in a team environment.

Education and Experience:
• 1+ year(s) of experience as a sit-down forklift operator (required).
• High School Diploma, or GED equivalent (highly preferred)
• One year of manufacturing experience (preferred)
