We're seeking an experienced Configuration Management / ITSM Engineer to join a dynamic team supporting a mission-critical satellite ground systems program. This role plays a key part in enabling secure, scalable, and efficient ground operations within a national security-focused environment.
What You’ll Do:
• Implement and maintain configuration management processes for enterprise IT infrastructure and software systems.
• Manage CMDBs and lead lifecycle tracking of IT assets across complex environments.
• Support software deployment, version tracking , and patch management across enterprise systems.
• Collaborate with engineering teams on system updates and configuration standards.
• Use tools such as ServiceNow to streamline IT Service Management (ITSM) workflows.
• Coordinate with vendors and technical teams to align on update schedules and version control.
What You Bring:
• Active Secret Clearance (DoD required)
• Bachelor’s degree in Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related field
• 2+ years of relevant experience in configuration management or enterprise IT service delivery
• Experience using ServiceNow or other ITSM platforms
• Strong understanding of enterprise software deployment processes and version control
• Excellent collaboration, documentation, and process improvement skills
Bonus If You Have:
• Experience in satellite communications or ground systems
• Background in Agile environments
• Familiarity with government/military contracting environments or secure systems integration
