Construction Project Manager - Ground Up

We seeking a Ground Up Project Manager to focus on new construction and large renovations in the Sarasota/Bradenton area. This individual is responsible for leading a project construction or assigned team and overseeing the overall management of the assigned project direction, planning, completion, and financial outcome of assigned projects.
Responsibilities:
· Oversees the construction project from start to finish.
· Develops project schedules and monitor budgets
· Ability to update project forecasts & adhere to project cost control expectations with the accounting team.
· Manages project schedule including changes.
· Communicates effectively with Clients and sub- contractors, field staff, and construction managers
· Maintains strict compliance to budgetary guidelines and safety standards.
· Performs weekly inspections of construction sites.
· Identifies and proposes solid solutions to constructability issues.
· Occasionally travels to other locations and regions to support the organization as needed.
· Maintains a full understanding of the current status of the assigned project and organization
· Performs other related duties as required or directed.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in construction preferred and/or experience in related field.
· Minimum 4 Years experience in commercial construction management (with 2 years being ground up/new construction)
· Requires working knowledge of various construction disciplines, union agreements/jurisdiction, cost control, scheduling, safety regulations, engineering drawings, and other documents required.
· 10-Hour OSHA (within 30 days employment)
· Willingness to travel If and when necessary
· Proficiency with PC and software, including Microsoft Office, related to construction industry software’s such as Procore, build, Plan Grid and scheduling platforms
· Ability to work and contribute to a professional team setting
