As a member of the team responsible for analyzing and fulfilling supply and demand, this role schedules in house production areas and vendors to meet our customer's needs. This team works to 1) guarantee material availability for on-time production of the best possible soil and drilling equipment and 2) ensure consistent product availability for direct sale to customers and distributors. This includes being an asset to external and internal customers through continuously improving and increasing value-adding services while reducing waste.
Responsibilities
• Planning responsibilities to effectively align the in-house production schedule with customer needs
• ECN Planning: Coordinate new engineering design by managing old material being replaced, and planning the new parts to begin
• Order Policies: Establish order policies to support timely and efficient production within the company's manufacturing shops. Team with production departments to make the best overall decisions.
• Lead Time Reduction: Systematically trimming long operational lead times
• Cycle Count Management: Administer a cycle count program for areas in which you have responsibility
• Work Orders: Release work to the shops in a way that aligns the work with the production plan
• Capacity Planning: Work with production departments to ensure capacity is available, and assist with sending overload to existing vendors, or to newly sourced vendors
• Oversee the disposition of obsolete inventory
• Procurement responsibilities to ensure timely supply for all requirements
• Effectively partner with shops to understand their need for purchased parts, and to stock the right amount, at the right time, at the right cost
• Lead Time Reduction: Systematically trimming long lead times through vendor management or agreements
• Daily evaluation and release of purchase orders to fulfill immediate and future demands
• Assist in the maintenance and review of items purchased, costs, deliveries, product performance and inventories.
• Collaborate effectively and flexibly with co-workers across the company showing a willingness to go the extra mile with both effort and time
Requirements
• Excellent transactional accuracy and attention to detail
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; Strong MS-Excel skills
• Interpersonal Skills - Relates well to all kinds of people—up, down, and sideways, inside and outside the organization
• Learning on the Fly - Learns quickly when facing new problems, open to change, and quickly grasps the essence and the underlying structure of problems to be solved

Bonus
• 3+ years of experience in manufacturing/engineering supply chain activities
• MRP/ERP knowledge required
• Industry Certification. (APICS, CPIM, CSCP, or equivalent)
• BS in Supply Chain Management or Business Administration
• Lean Six Sigma education or experience
