Rancho Solano Preparatory School Physical Education teachers develop and implement physical education programs that promote students’ physical abilities and overall health. They teach a variety of physical activities, sports, and health-related topics, ensuring a safe and engaging learning environment. Additionally, PE teachers may coach sports, advise students on healthy lifestyle choices, and collaborate with other teachers to create cross-curricular activities. Physical Education teachers should be prepared to follow our collaboratively developed curriculum map designed so that all students are prepared to achieve and maintain a healthy, active lifestyle. This position will also receive a stipend for coaching middle school sports such as volleyball, basketball and soccer. Additional duties of a Rancho Solano Preparatory School teacher may include but is not limited to the following: Middle School grade level advisor, supervision of in school and after-school activities, organizing and/or chaperoning field trips, proctoring standardized testing, and additional support duties as requested by the Department Chair or Principal. Skill Set Requirements · Ability to teach in a blended adaptive learning environment/classroom · Comprehensive knowledge of Project based learning and Outcome Curriculum Mapping · Comprehensive knowledge of curriculum and instruction within appropriate content areas · Ability to function as a student achievement advocate and advisor · Highly developed written and verbal communication skills · Highly developed presentation skills · Effective organizational skills including but not limited to unit planning, differentiating instruction, designing and implementing assessments · Ability to monitor student progress and report information in a timely manner · Ability to mentor and coach students · Ability to prioritize and to expand allotted resources in alignment with stated academic priorities Responsibilities · Exercise good classroom management with the use of fair and consistent standards that are clearly articulated to the students · Know and use a wide range of assessment strategies consistent with course content and objectives · Provide reports on student progress and maintain open communication with ensuring reports are accurate and constructive · Differentiate instruction and assessment to meet the diverse needs of the students · Provide a safe, stimulating, and challenging learning environment · Attend functions in support of school and community Position · Bachelor’s degree required in Education or field related to subject matter taught · Some teaching experience preferred · Full time beginning August 2025, for the 2025-2026 school year · Salary-based upon local job market, education, and experience Job Type: Full-time Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) 401(k) matching Dental insurance Employee assistance program Flexible spending account Health insurance Health savings account Life insurance Paid time off Vision insurance Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Work Location: In person
