Summary As a Shift Leader at Pet Supplies Plus, you will play a pivotal role in managing store operations during your shift. This position is essential for maintaining our high standards of customer service and ensuring the store runs smoothly, contributing to our mission of enhancing the pet ownership experience. Responsibilities Supervise daily operations during your shift to ensure a positive customer experience. Lead and motivate team members to achieve sales goals and maintain store standards. Manage inventory control processes to ensure product availability and minimize waste. Assist in training new employees on store policies, procedures, and customer service techniques. Handle customer inquiries and resolve any issues that arise during your shift. Monitor cash handling procedures and ensure accurate POS transactions. Requirements Previous experience in retail or a supervisory role is preferred. Strong inventory management skills to maintain stock levels effectively. Excellent communication skills for interacting with customers and team members. Ability to lead by example and foster a positive team environment. Basic budgeting skills are a plus but not required.
