FINANCE AND ECONOMIC ADJUNCT – ONLINE and IN-PERSON Job Description: An enthusiastic, student-centered approach to teaching is required. Teaching responsibilities include developing and teaching various levels of undergraduate courses. The primary responsibilities are to teach undergraduate courses within the business discipline in subjects of economics and finance. All adjunct faculty members shall support the Bethany College Mission. This position resides within the Division of Professional Studies (Business). The division provides undergraduate academic majors in accounting, business administration, management, marketing, finance, and sports management; and, academic minors in business, leadership, and entrepreneurship. The division provides graduate education in business administration, culminating in a Masters of Business Administration (MBA) degree. Job Requirements: Ph.D. (or terminal degree) in related Business curriculum desired. ABD, MBA with teaching and/or professional business experience will be considered. Highly motivated and works well both independently and in a team environment. Regular attendance required. Functional knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite. Willingness to adapt to a changing technological environment. Competent in electronic mail and document management. Conduct class sessions as scheduled Develop and distribute syllabi that is approved, and fulfills the course requirements. Maintain current, accurate records of course enrollment, grades, and attendance. Observe and evaluate student performance in meeting course objectives and student learning outcomes through assignments, facilitating students in designing lessons, presentations, discussions, classroom field experiences, projects, and appropriate assessments. Assign and provide feedback for in- and out-of-class work; monitor student progress. Maintain a commitment to the preparation of culturally responsive, professional teachers. Perform related duties as assigned, including communicating with the department chair(s).
