Junior Estimator
Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated Junior Estimator to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with hands-on MEP experience, a recent college grad, or a field technician or tradesperson who’s looking to transition into a technical, detail-oriented office role in estimating .
As a Junior Estimator, you’ll work closely with our Estimating and HVAC Project Management teams to support the preparation of accurate cost estimates for upcoming projects.
Responsibilities:
• Assist in preparing detailed cost estimates for HVAC scopes of work
• Review project drawings, specifications, and related documents
• Perform quantity takeoffs and input data into estimating software and spreadsheets
• Help manage bid documentation and vendor/subcontractor quotes
• Collaborate with senior estimators and project teams to ensure accurate proposals
• Maintain organized digital records of project estimates and revisions
Qualifications:
• Background in MEP trades (mechanical, electrical, plumbing) — hands-on field experience preferred
• Strong interest in estimating and project costing
• Proficiency with Excel (must be comfortable with formulas, spreadsheets, and data entry)
• Experience with Build-Ops or similar construction management software is a plus, but not required
