Summary:
Molekule is seeking a driven and curious Mechanical Engineering Intern to join our team and contribute to a cutting-edge research project at the intersection of materials science, heat transfer, and robotics. This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience while working alongside experienced engineers and researchers.
Responsibilities
• Collaborate on an innovative research initiative focused on mechanical systems and performance.
• Engage in hands-on experimental work including setup, data collection, testing, and results analysis.
• Assist in refining and troubleshooting test setups, with a focus on diagnosing and resolving critical technical issues.
• Operate and support the use of a FANUC CRX20 collaborative robot system, including basic programming tasks.
• Document findings, contribute to technical discussions, and suggest processes or design improvements where applicable.
Requirements
Qualifications:
• Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
• Foundational knowledge of heat transfer principles and material characterization techniques.
• Exposure to robotics systems and basic understanding of robot programming (FANUC experience is a plus).
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Comfortable working in a lab-based environment and collaborating with cross-functional teams.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with data analysis tools.
• Familiarity with CAD software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
