Job Summary First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) located in Owensboro, KY is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Audio Visual Technician to support worship services and events by operating the sound system, projector, live streaming and electronic signage systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in audio and visual technology, with the ability to troubleshoot and maintain AV equipment. This role requires a blend of technical expertise, mechanical knowledge, and excellent problem-solving skills to ensure seamless operation of audio-visual systems for in person and online streaming of worship services. Responsibilities Operate soundboard and audio equipment during worship services, special events and rehearsals. Manage projector system for multimedia presentations. Operate live streaming software (OBS) to broadcast services online. Set up and monitor cameras, audio feeds, and streaming platforms for Facebook. Update and maintain the church's electronic billboard with service times and event announcements approved by the Pastor. Troubleshoot technical issues quickly and efficiently. Work with worship team and leadership to support technical needs. Maintain and organize all A/V and streaming equipment. Requirements Experience with sound mixing, live audio, and video projection preferred. Familiarity with live streaming software (OBS) is preferred but can be taught. Strong technical problem-solving skills. Good communication and teamwork skills. Dependable, punctual, and willing to learn. Previous church or event production experience is a plus (but not required).
