Overview First Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) located in Owensboro, KY is seeking a caring and responsible Part-Time Nursery Worker to provide a safe, nurturing environment for infants and young children during Sunday services and other church events. The nursery worker will support the church’s mission by caring for children and ensuring a welcoming atmosphere for families. Schedule Sundays: 8:30 AM – 11:30 AM Additional days as needed for church events, meetings, or special activities Duties Supervise and care for children in a loving and age-appropriate manner Ensure the safety and well-being of all children in the nursery Maintain cleanliness and organization of the nursery area, toys, and supplies Maintain cleanliness and hygiene of the children Communicate effectively with parents and church staff regarding children's needs and any concerns Follow church policies on child safety, confidentiality, and emergency procedures Be adaptable and willing to assist with additional duties or special church events Requirements Prior experience working with children preferred but not required Compassionate, patient, and nurturing attitude Ability to work independently and as part of a team Commitment to child safety and confidentiality Willing to undergo background checks and child safety training Ability to lift small children and perform light physical tasks Capable of sitting, bending, and standing for extended periods Compensation Hourly rate based on experience Join us in making a difference in the lives of children while enjoying a fulfilling part-time role!
