The Compensation, Benefits, and Payroll Supervisor is responsible for implementing and managing he organization’s compensation and benefits programs while ensuring accurate and compliant payroll processing. This role involves analyzing salary structures, job market review, overseeing benefits administration, ensuring compliance with labor laws, optimizing payroll processes, and oversight and guidance on payroll and benefits general ledger work and reconciliation. Payroll management: Oversee the preparation and distribution of accurate payroll on a regular scheduled (bi-weekly) Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll laws, including tax filings, wage laws, and reporting requirements. Review and validate payroll as needed for payroll processing. Maintain and update payroll systems and related records, ensuring security and confidentiality Function as a second level backup for payroll processing Oversee and assist with year end processing of payroll, reports, and W2’s Identify opportunities for payroll process improvements Point person for payroll audits Benefits Administration: Manage and oversee the administration of employee benefits programs, including health insurance, retirement plans, life insurance, disability insurance, and wellness initiatives. Act as the primary point of contact for benefits vendors and ensure accurate implementation of benefit changes. Conduct and oversee open enrollment processes and ensure clear communication to employees about benefits offerings. Create and provide ongoing benefits training to employees to ensure employees are informed of benefits provided and how they work. Stay updated on legislative changes that impact employee benefits and recommend necessary adjustments. Point person for workers comp audits Compensation: Maintain compensation structure, pay calculator, and workbooks for pay grades. Conduct job evaluations and salary studies to help determine appropriate salary grades. Generate compensation reports and analytics to support decision-making. Conduct job evaluations and salary benchmarking to ensure market competitiveness Compliance and Reporting: Ensure compliance with all legal regulations, such as FLSA, FMLA, ACA, and ERISA Prepare and submit required reports for 401K audits, payroll audits, Form 5500 filings, W2 reconciliation, 1095 ACA forms, 990 preparation, and Workers Comp audits. Coordinate with external auditors and provide necessary payroll and benefits documentation. General Ledger: Provide oversight and guidance for general ledger entries for payroll and benefits reconciliation Reconcile payroll and benefits accounts. HRIS: Maintain and update job templates, pay grades, and compensation ranges. Troubleshoot system issues as needed Ensure proper configuration for payroll, compensation, and benefits Ensure data integrity through reviews and reporting Leadership: Lead, mentor, and develop payroll and benefits team members to ensure high performance. Provide training and support to team members on payroll systems, compliance, and best practice. Foster a culture of continuous improvement and accountability within the team. Assess, make recommendations, and implement payroll and benefits technologies for efficiencies. Collaborate with HR and finance on budgeting, cost analysis, and Requirements: Bachelor's Degree Required-Preferred area of study, Accounting, Finance, Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or finance, or Human Resources. Preferred Certification: CPP (Certified Payroll Professional and/or CEBS Certified Employee Benefits Specialist Minimum of 5 years accounting/business experience and payroll, compensation, or benefits administration At least 2-4 years managing subordinates preferred Must be 21 years of age. Must pass a drug screen. Must pass an MVR, KBI and Child Abuse and Neglect Central Registry Clearance check FBI Fingerprint Check Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Lifting requirements of 50 lbs.
Salary: $44.5K - $53.5K a year
