GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES:
To solicit, manage, develop, orchestrate and organize the flow of donations from community and businesses.
To encourage and promote a mutual employee/donor/customer relationship which enhances the profitability of the Goodwill Industries.
To oversee the day-to-day operations of the Electronics Recycling (E-cycle) Division, ensuring top line revenue and net income goals are met.
To represent Goodwill in a professional manner to reflect values and standards of its mission and goals.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES – ADC Oversight (75%)
• To provide training of ADC Attendants in all aspect of their job with the emphasis on safety, honesty and excellent customer service to our donors.
• To encourage and direct the ADC Attendants to maintain superior quality control of overall processing and excellent customer service.
• To oversee production at ADCs, including but not limited to textiles, shoes, books and wares; to ensure daily production goals are consistently met.
• To maintain safety standards within the Attended Donation Centers.
• To make and maintain work schedules for ADC Attendants; have all donation centers staffed and open the posted hours of operation.
• To maintain payroll for donation centers.
• To prepare and submit daily and weekly donor reports.
• To provide support and staffing for donation drives, and community events and coordinate with marketing and retail operations.
• To maintain buildings, grounds, signage, and equipment at Attended Donation Centers to a standard of excellence that enhances Goodwill’s image in the communities we serve.
• To develop effective communication, both orally and written, with the ADC Attendants and management.
• To resolve all customer relations comments and complaints within 48 hours after receipt per company guidelines.
• To maintain loss control policies and procedures regarding donated goods per company standards and guidelines.
SPECIFIC RESPONSIBILITIES – E-Cycle Manager (25%)
• To oversee the daily operations of Goodwill’s electronics recycling business.
• To determine appropriate opportunities to maximize revenue on donated electronics.
• To maintain compliance with all applicable DOD standards, etc. that affect the privacy of information that may be stored on computer systems, hard drives, and/or any peripheral attachments.
• To process electronics that will be resold to ensure all protected information and data is cleared via disposal of hard drives, data wipes, and/or resetting to factory settings.
• To establish and maintain standard operating procedures for electronics recycling.
• To monitor item quotas while maintaining the appearance and descriptiveness of high quality products placed online and ensure item descriptions are grammatically correct and spelled properly.
• To be responsible for ensuring that staff listing quotas are met and quality items are listed on a daily basis on Shop Goodwill, Indaba, eBay, and/or Amazon; to be responsible for meeting individual listing/production goals.
• To be responsible for the team meeting their personal quotas of quality items on a daily basis through proper training, scheduling, and supervision of store personnel.
• To meet monthly sales goals.
• To maintain a consistent and organized operation for packing and unpacking new and outgoing product, ensuring that sold items are properly packed and shipped within 72 hours of payment and to work with various outside sources on scheduling shipments and pick-ups.
• To be responsible for reports, documentation, and ensuring all messages are being answered by staff in a timely manner.
• To handle all customer complaints and find the best resolutions for any other issues and needs that arise. Monitor customer complaints and questions through the use of email, telephone or in person and ensure every situation is handled in a professional manner and within 48 hours.
• To perform all other duties that may be assigned.
Responsible to: Director of Sustainability
Education: High School diploma or equivalent required. Some college preferred.
Work Experience: Prefer retail experience in the computer sale/resale business and one year of supervisory experience, or a strong combination of experience. Must have strong management skills. Experience in building computer systems, de-manufacturing, repair, and troubleshooting hardware, software and networking problems strongly preferred.
Qualifications: Must be able to travel daily through the service area of Goodwill Industries on a regular basis using personal and corporate transportation. Must be a self-starter and be able to work independently. Must have excellent interpersonal communication skills to initiate, cultivate and maintain relations with community and businesses. Must have public speaking skills, presentation ability, and donor research, marketing and selling skills. Must have a commitment of achieving results and to attaining and surpassing goals.  Must be detail-oriented and possess excellent organizational skills.
Physical Requirements: Daily requirements may include climbing, balancing, reaching, talking hearing, seeing, standing, stooping, kneeling, handling, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling.  May be exposed to dust and odors.  May be required to do limited work outdoors.
Safety & Security: Report all accidents, however slight, to your supervisor immediately.  Never leave the premises without reporting any accident that occurred during your working time.  If you should need medical treatment during your non-work hours, you should contact your supervisor. Must have valid and current SC Drivers License with limited points for violations.
Work Hours: FT 40 hours/week. Rotating schedule to include weekends.
