Summary Statement
This is the supervisory level in the family crisis therapy series responsible for overseeing and monitoring program operations for intervention services.
Essential Functions
Essential functions are fundamental, core functions common to all positions in the class series and are not intended to be an exhaustive list of all job duties for any one position in the class. Since class specifications are descriptive and not restrictive, incumbents can complete job duties of similar kind not specifically listed here.
• Intervenes in family crisis situations.
• Provides on-going clinical assessment and treatment.
• Develops and implements treatment plans.
• Assesses progress and recommends appropriate strategies for continual functional improvement within the family.
• Conducts individual and family therapy sessions.
• Prepares clinical reports and documentation of progress towards goals of families and clients.
• Provides on-going consultation with professional staff.
Job Requirements
JOB REQUIREMENTS for Family Crisis Therapist Supervisor
Applicants must have education, training and/or experience demonstrating competence in each of the following areas:
• Possession of a Bachelor's degree or higher in Behavioral or Social Science or related field.
• Two years' experience in crisis intervention.
• Three years' experience in case management such as assessing, planning, developing, implementing, monitoring, and evaluating options and services to meet an individual's human needs.
• Coursework, training and/or work experience in staff supervision, which may include performing as a lead worker overseeing the work of others.
