IT Services Manager – Salina, KS
Great Plains Manufacturing is seeking an IT Services Manager to join our team in Salina, KS. This role requires a combination of technical IT knowledge, strong leadership and communication skills, relevant manufacturing experience, and system background.
The ideal candidate will hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field, along with a minimum of 10 years of IT experience in a manufacturing operations environment along with 10-15 years of management experience.
Primary Duties And Responsibilities
• Implement and manage a manufacturing execution system (Apriso)
• Manage and enhance engineering systems (Windchill, Creo, E NOVIA Catia) for multiple engineering groups
• Project Management Develop/implement a project management framework including but not project charters, work breakdown structures task management and waterfalls. Manage IT department projects have proper documentation of responsibilities, time lines of all significant project for all IT groups
• Lead cybersecurity activities
• Manage relationship with other Kubota affiliates
• Develop additional security policies and operationalize completed policies
• Complete Security audits for internal and external clients
• Design Effectiveness improvements via policies, standards, and procedures and operational effectiveness by executing the policies and procedures.
• Increase the depth of security effectiveness and maturity of the security systems
• Follow all Great Plains and OSHA safety regulations and wear prescribed safety and protective equipment
• Other duties may be assigned that require other qualifications, physical demands, and/or work environment
Preferred Skills And Qualifications
• Education: Bachelor's Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or a related field
• Manufacturing Experience: 10 years IT experience in manufacturing operations, processes, and technologies is crucial
• Management Experience: 10-15 years of experience in leadership and management roles are essential
• IT Expertise: Strong understanding of IT infrastructure, systems, security and software in a multi facility environment is required. Including but not limited to MES systems, ERP systems, Custom web applications, PLM and other engineering NIST cyber security. SAP experience desired
• Industry Knowledge: Experience with machine/equipment manufacturing and IT business needs.
• Leadership and Management: Ability to lead and motivate teams, set strategic direction, and manage budgets and resources
• Communication: Excellent written and verbal communication skills are needed to effectively convey information to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Problem-Solving: Ability to identify and resolve complex IT issues in a manufacturing environment
• Analytical Skills: Strong analytical skills are needed to evaluate data, identify trends, and make informed decisions
• Project Management: Experience in managing large IT projects, from planning to implementation, is essential. Including but not limited to ERP conversions
• Business Acumen: Understanding of business operations and how IT can drive efficiency and growth. Comprehensive understanding of life cycle of company IT needs from design, manufacturing, sales and back office functions
• Interpersonal Skills: Ability to build relationships with stakeholders, both internal and external. Excellent coloration Skills
• Organizational Skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
• Business Climate: Ability to work in a matrix international organization that is multi-cultural
