Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician to perform essential maintenance tasks and repairs across various systems and equipment. This role requires a hands-on approach to ensure the smooth operation of our facilities.
Responsibilities • Perform day-to-day maintenance tasks and repairs, including but not limited to boiler systems, air conditioning, heating units, plant machine repairs, plumbing, sprinkler systems, air lines, electrical systems, forklifts, generators, and compactors.
• Participate in building security operations, including door security and emergency evacuations.
• Assist the IT department with computer and phone installations, including wiring and cable setups.
• Relocate office equipment or items within the office as required.
• Collect garbage and recycling from various areas in the plant when custodians are unavailable.
• Set up meeting areas upon request, including arranging tables, chairs, and presentation materials or equipment like projectors and screens.
• Conduct tests on various equipment, including lights and emergency lighting systems.
• Operate forklifts to load and unload materials and pallets.
Essential Skills • Experience in construction, carpentry, and framing.
• Proficiency in using hand tools and troubleshooting.
• Strong mechanical and repair skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications • No formal education required.
• Ability to stand for up to 8 hours a day.
• Capability to lift up to 35 lbs regularly and occasionally lift up to 100 lbs.
• Understanding of wood concepts is preferred.
Work Environment The work environment consists of a dusty wood shop with a loud and fast-paced atmosphere. You will be joining a team of 100 production employees in a setting that values old-school mentality. The dress code is casual, requiring proper PPE such as steel-toe shoes and long pants. The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7:30 AM to 4 PM.

Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Macungie, Pennsylvania.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $25.00/hr.
