Role Summary:
Sr. Mgr, Audi Business Operations role, reports to the Sr. Director of Brand Management, and is responsible for facilitating the development of sales strategies for financial products and services that are dealer focused and profit/growth oriented while also retaining acute consideration for VCI or AFS or DFS dealer satisfaction.
The position will support the development, monitoring and implementing of all VCI or AFS or DFS sales program initiatives. From an operations perspective, this includes leading a team of one business development brand manager and three support staff members who are responsible for supporting the achievement of financial targets related to new and used car retail financing, wholesale dealer financing, and leasing.
Role Responsibilities:
Main responsibility
· Responsible for leading, guiding, developing and mentoring direct reports in designing, implementing, selling indirect retail, lease, wholesale, remarketing and ancillary finance product solutions that optimizes VCI revenue generation while providing the highest level of service.
· Supports the development and implementation of short and long-term selling strategies and programs that drive brand loyalty, company profitability and maximize VCI or AFS or DFS market share in the dealer channel. Utilize extensive competitive intelligence, pricing trends and internal learning’s, to create sales programs for the VW or Audi or Ducati Brand and dealer network in conjunction with field operations and the Audi Brand.
· Represents VCI or AFS or DFS within the VW or Audi or Ducati Brand sales unit, lending financial services expertise to VW or Audi or Ducati Brand initiatives to collaborate on development and execution of programs.
· In conjunction with field and corporate departments, leads the design and develop selling and incentive programs (MPRs) to generate dealer engagement while optimizing financial results. Ensure legal compliance for all initiatives.
· Represents the VW or Audi or Ducati Brand experience within VCI or AFS or DFS and influences the quality of the VCI or AFS or DFS experience to both dealers and end-consumers.
· Support the achievements of VCI or AFS or DFS revenue and profitability goals while helping VW/Audi of America reach their sales objectives through the use of retail and lease products.
· Leads the VCI or AFS Sub-committee of the National Dealer Advisory Council (NDAC). Responsible for dealer membership, quarterly and ad-hoc meetings, issue surfacing and resolution, and ongoing process improvement.
· Supports the interface with VW or Audi or Ducati Brands to strategize and develop retail and lease products, programs and promotions. Support negotiation of subvention requirements to optimize financial results.
· Ensure effective communication of all retail programs to the dealer body and ensure solid customer communication through integrated activities with the field and other internal departments.
· Supports the development of annual program budgets (volume/cost), and monthly and annual forecasts for Executive presentation and review.
· Ensure timely publishing of Residual Values through coordination with brand departments and VCI Risk Management.
· Ensure dealer and corporate communication relating to VCI or AFS or DFS programs is in place and the business is cross-functionally aligned and integrated with the programs.
· Pro-actively design, develop, and implement sales programs for all VCI or AFS or DFS retail, lease, and wholesale offerings with measurable results.
· Champion dealer satisfaction through an ongoing focus on dealer behavior and preferences in the development, delivery, and promotion of VCI or AFS or DFS financial products.
· Supports the optimal design, pricing, and communications of financial products to meet volume and profit targets.
· Establish and coordinate special conjoint manufacturer programs (new vehicle incentives, certified used cars, college graduate offers, off-lease vehicle sales initiatives, etc.).
· Supports the Sr. Director of Brand Management with the assigned budget while consistently seeking revenue and cost optimization.
· Provides leadership and career development/guidance for team members.
Additional responsibilities
· Occasionally will present proposals for approval, and post-program analysis/results.
· Acts as an advisor and resource to VCI or AFS or DFS Sales Regions by assisting in development of regional and local programs as they relate to attainment of sales goals. Holds approval authority for programs within specified budget ranges.
Relevant Experience:
· 12 years professional experience related to automobile sales and financial services
· 5 years of supervisory experience
Required Education:
· Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, or related major
