Job Summary
Maintains the cleanliness of the Sarasota Memorial Nursing and Rehabilitation Center by following established procedures, cleaning and servicing units and patient rooms along with offices of the facility. Operates a variety of electrical and battery-powered equipment as needed. Receives clean linen and delivers to facility units and other areas along with loading the soiled linen into washers and dryers. Unloads washers/dryers and folds/sorts and loads clean linen onto carts. Washes, dry’s, folds, hangs and delivers personal laundry.
Preferred Qualifications
• Prefer the ability to work weekends, holidays and other shifts.
• Prefer the ability to understand and follow written and oral instructions.
• Prefer the ability to display an amiable personality along with a willing and cooperative attitude.
• Prefer the ability to be courteous and use good judgment when in contact with the public, residents and other staff members.
• Prefer a minimum of one (1) year of experience in housekeeping, linen or environmental services.
Preferred Education
HS EQ: High School Diploma, GED or Certificate
