IT Support Technologist
Position Function: The IT Support Technologist is a strategic partner within the Ball State University Foundation and Advancement Services teams, utilizing technical understanding and expertise to provide technology support to Foundation staff. Reporting to the Division of Information Technology, the IT Support Technologist provides desktop, platform, and systems support; manages computer replacement plan; and maintains Alumni Center AV equipment as needed.
Minimum Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution, OR Associate’s degree and two years of related experience will be accepted in lieu of a bachelor’s degree, OR High school diploma or GED plus an additional combination of education or experience in IT equivalent to four years.
• At least two years of experience supporting desktop computers, laptops, mobile devices, networks and software applications with an emphasis on troubleshooting and system maintenance.
• Working knowledge of Windows operating systems and Office suite of applications.
Preferred Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in computer technology, information systems, computer science or related area.
• Additional years of technology support experience.
• Experience in higher education advancement information systems.
• Experience with establishing and maintaining information security controls.
• Experience gathering requirements and establishing universal definitions in support of key performance indicators, metrics, and other related measures.
• Experience in a PCI compliant environment.
• Experience in a fundraising environment.
• Supervisory experience.
