Location: Any of the following states — Colorado (CO), New Mexico (NM), Virginia (VA), or South Carolina (SC); includes regional travel across the company’s footprint. Reports To: Vice President of Operations Direct Reports: Regional Operations Managers & District Managers Position Summary: The Jimmy John Brand Director is an executive field leadership role responsible for overseeing performance, brand execution, and people development across a portfolio of 30+ Jimmy John’s franchise locations. Serving as the strategic bridge between the VP of Operations and field leadership, this role is accountable for maintaining alignment with brand standards, scaling operational excellence, and developing a pipeline of exceptional leaders.
You’ll lead a multi-layered team, including Regional Operations Managers and District Managers , ensuring Jimmy John’s guest experience is consistent, fast, fresh, and freaky good—everywhere, every time. Your leadership will drive operational excellence by applying EOS principles to maintain accountability and alignment, upholding high company standards across all locations and levels of CHC Unified.
Key Responsibilities: 1. Brand & Operational Leadership • Act as the brand operations ambassador for all field operations, maintaining excellence in speed, quality, cleanliness, and service.
• Ensure store-level operations align with corporate strategy and the Jimmy John’s brand promise.
• Lead the consistent execution of operational procedures, training systems, and brand standards across all markets.
• Drive brand adoption of national campaigns and operational initiatives.
2. Team Leadership & Development • Lead, develop, and mentor a high-performing team of Regional Operations Managers and District Managers.
• Set clear expectations using EOS tools such as Accountability Charts, Scorecards, and Rocks.
• Implement ongoing leadership development strategies and talent calibration.
• Create a culture of accountability, servant leadership, and performance coaching.
3. Strategy & Execution • Collaborate with the VP of Operations to develop and execute quarterly and annual strategic plans using EOS frameworks.
• Translate company vision into actionable goals, providing clarity and traction for field leaders.
• Lead quarterly business reviews with KPIs, scorecards, and field-level insights to measure success and identify opportunities.
4. Financial & Operational Performance • Drive national performance by managing operational KPIs including labor, food cost, sales, and guest satisfaction.
• Analyze performance data and proactively support field leaders in building action plans.
• Support new store openings, remodels, and change initiatives to ensure operational readiness.
5. Cross-Functional Collaboration • Serve as a key liaison between operations, HR, training, marketing, and finance to align initiatives and support stores.
• Ensure communication is clear, consistent, and timely across all field levels and departments.
• Lead change management initiatives effectively to maximize field adoption and impact.
Qualifications: • 7+ years of progressive leadership experience in multi-unit operations (QSR or fast casual preferred)
• Proven ability to lead large, layered teams across diverse markets
• Deep understanding of restaurant operations, franchise dynamics, and field performance metrics
• Hands-on experience with EOS implementation, including self-led rollout of foundational tools such as the Accountability Chart, Level 10 Meetings, Scorecards, Rocks, and the Vision/Traction Organizer (V/TO).
• Strong interpersonal, coaching, and communication skills
• Highly organized and data-driven; capable of translating metrics into action
• Comfortable traveling for work and eager to take on challenges of remote markets which may require intensive travel periods.
