Position Overview
Responsible for developing new business for the company through relationships and connections
Essential Duties
• Conducts outreach to initiate contact with potential customers
• Researches organizations and individuals to discover new opportunities
• Manages marketing and promoting of various services and products to new customers
• Measures properties, obtains necessary bid information, and prepares all proposals
• Makes effective presentations and presents all proposals/documents to the customer
• Closes sale opportunity and coordinates job specifics with all responsible operations and finance leaders
• Interfaces with customers and ensures all customer concerns are addressed in a timely and professional manner
• Interfaces with company Account Manager or Maintenance Operations Manager to ensure customer's expectations are
• met and work tickets are kept on schedule and within budget
• Ensures that vendor and subcontractor pricing is competitive, accurate, and aligns to proposal estimated cost
• Monitors and analyzes the financial performance of all work tickets to ensure timeliness, profitability, and quality
• Maintains and updates CRM software to support deadlines, meetings, notes, points of contact, and phone conversations
• Promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices
• Participates in leadership meetings and other companywide initiatives as needed
• Position may perform other duties as assigned
Education, Knowledge And Experience
• Minimum of Bachelor's Degree preferred, horticulture degree preferred
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years of sales experience required, landscape industry experience preferred
Skills And Quailifactions
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Ability to manage multiple priorities/tasks
• Knowledge of horticulture including plants, shrubs, and other plants as well as weeds, pests, insects, and horticultural
• diseases, moss, and plant disorders
• Excellent analytical and abstract reasoning skills
• Proven leadership skills in a high-performing culture
• Microsoft Office Suite / PC proficiency
• Excellent organizational skills
• Excellent oral and written communication skills
