Design Engineer

The Design Engineer supporting Sub-Zero present products will design, test, and coordinate the development of features in existing refrigeration products. They will provide training and support for all refrigeration products as required for service, manufacturing, purchasing, and reliability. The most important impact the position has on the organization relates to the success of the product improvements and to the speed with which they can be brought to the production environment.
The Design Engineer focus will be to bring their experience & knowledge to the Sub-Zero Production Design Engineering team in Goodyear, AZ. Primary Responsibilities
• Generate and convert product improvement design ideas into robust solutions while working independently and with cross-functional teams.
• Serve as Design representative on business unit teams
• Evaluate and implement product design solutions in support of warranty, cost, and manufacturability improvements in product assembly and fabrication.
• Present product design solutions for review by product and management teams.
• Direct and evaluate product design improvements through 3D modeling, drafting, tooling and testing.
• Write and process engineering changes
• Direct, review, and approve work done by designers
