*Harness experience is not required but should have a strong Lead background with experience.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
• HS Diploma or Equivalent required, 2-year mechatronics or technical degree preferred
• Ability to direct operators to accomplish daily tasks
• Work with planning, purchasing, and management to meet daily production goals
• Good troubleshooting skills to evaluate unit failures
• Good hand/eye skills
• Self-motivated and detail-oriented
• Ability to quickly learn complex assemblies
• Experience assembling small components in a fast-paced work environment
• Works well on a team
• Has good computer skills (Microsoft Office)
• Ability to lift at least 30 pounds
• Ability to work standing for 10-hour shifts
Functions
• Directs and aids operators to ensure the daily production goals are meet.
• Perform audits and quality checks of the assembly process to validate the assembly instructions are being followed.
• Ensuring the line has everything it needs to build without production delays.
• Will work closely with planning, purchasing, management, quality, and engineering to obtain additional resources as necessary.
• Participate in building units alongside operators, as well as helping operators troubleshoot any assembly related issues they are having.
• Participate in the assembly of e-mobility chargers by examining connections and ensuring the correct fit.
• Placing sensitive electronic components into housing.
• Using electronic torque drivers to assemble small screws.
• Has very little room to work with hands to connect components, so good dexterity is needed.
• Units must be assembled to meet automotive requirements.
• Verifies specifications by measuring completed component, and records the finding on the appropriate documentation.
• Keeps equipment operational by aiding in preventive maintenance, following manufacturer's instructions, troubleshooting malfunctions, and calling for repairs.
• Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
• Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory levels, anticipating needed supplies, placing and expediting orders for supplies, as well as verifying receipt of supplies.
• Documents actions by completing production and quality forms on a computer.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
• Works closely with the management, engineering, sales, and customer.
QUALITY AND ENVIRONMENTAL SYSTEM TASKS:
• Initiates actions to prevent the occurrence of any non-conformities relating to product, process, and quality system
• Identifies and records any problems related to the product, process, and quality systems
• Initiates, recommends, or provides solutions through designated channels
• Controls further processing, deliver, or installation of non-conforming products until the deficiencies or unsatisfactory conditions have been corrected
• Implements appropriate quality and environmental objectives directed towards doing things right the first time
• Classifies and disposes of hazardous waste and non-hazardous waste according to the visual information
• Knows and applies the emergency response related to evacuation, alarms, fire, and spills
• Understands and applies the environmental policy, organizations objectives, operational control of the environmental aspects and the emergency procedures
• Commitment to pollution prevention and awareness of environmental impact of their actions
