Job Summary
Reporting to the RVP, the Operations Manager supports day-to-day departmental operations, strategic planning, and program administration. This role also serves as a key liaison with customers and internal departments to ensure efficient and aligned operations.
Key Responsibilities:
•
Support departmental leadership in planning, evaluating, and managing operations
•
Oversee financial performance and report to the RVP; implement cost control measures
•
Supervise and direct staff within assigned unit
•
Contribute to short- and long-term departmental goals
•
Advise on university-wide initiatives involving the department
•
Assist with strategic planning and cross-functional coordination
•
Evaluate compliance, process efficiency, and internal controls
•
Recommend and implement policy updates
•
Stay current with industry trends; participate in training and committees
Preferred Qualifications:
•
Bachelor’s degree required
•
5–10 years of progressive POM (Physical Operations Management) leadership experience
•
Background in college/university facilities management
•
Strong strategic thinking, communication, and planning skills
•
Proven cost management experience
•
High customer service standards and strong interpersonal skills
•
Comfortable with public speaking and multitasking in fast-paced environments
•
Demonstrates initiative, accountability, flexibility, and effective leadership
