Chief Financial Officer

Responsibilities
• Provide executive leadership and strategic direction for the accounting, finance, systems, and financial reporting functions across all business locations.
• Serve as a key member of the Executive Team, contributing to high-level planning, policy development, and execution of strategic and operational initiatives.
• Lead and inspire the finance team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement, accountability, and professional development.
• Drive the modernization and optimization of financial systems and reporting processes, ensuring efficiency, accuracy, and scalability.
• Oversee the preparation and review of monthly divisional and consolidated financial statements, ensuring timely and accurate reporting.
• Direct the company’s budgeting, forecasting, and long-term financial planning efforts.
• Maintain and monitor standard manufacturing cost models and provide insightful variance analysis and performance reporting.
• Safeguard company assets and optimize working capital through effective cash flow and asset management strategies.
• Establish and maintain a strong internal control environment, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and internal policies.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with senior leaders across Purchasing, Sales, Operations, and IT to align financial strategies with broader business goals.
• Recruit, train, mentor, and retain top financial talent to support the company’s continued growth and evolving needs.
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
• MBA or CPA required.
Experience
• At least 10 years of progressive accounting experience, including leadership roles, with a strong command of financial reporting standards and the implementation of accounting principles.
• Extensive background in manufacturing finance—preferably in custom paper and plastic packaging—with experience in privately held companies and a deep understanding of their unique financial structures and strategic needs.

• Deep knowledge of GAAP with the ability to research and apply complex accounting standards.
• Advanced skills in PC/ERP systems to support data-driven decision-making.
