Job Title: Engineering Manager
Position Summary
We're seeking a hands-on, forward-thinking Engineering Manager to lead our engineering team specifically extrusion/plastic manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities
Leadership & Team Development
• Lead, mentor, and develop a team of Process Engineers, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Guide technical execution across the foam extrusion process, ensuring alignment with strategic business goals.
• Partner cross-functionally with Maintenance, Production, and R&D to drive operational excellence.
Process Optimization
• Design and implement improvements that enhance safety, efficiency, product quality, and sustainability.
• Lead and justify plant efficiency and safety initiatives from concept through execution.
• Maintain and improve digital and technical monitoring systems for extrusion equipment.
• Provide expert troubleshooting and hands-on support to maximize equipment uptime.
Project & Strategic Management
• Drive structured planning, execution, and completion of engineering projects aligned with company objectives.
• Oversee budgets for new production lines and develop cost-effective technical solutions.
• Coordinate production trials and testing for new products, ensuring seamless integration into operations.
• Spearhead facility growth and expansion efforts to support long-term business strategy.

Your Skillset
• Deep knowledge of machinery and manufacturing processes, ideally in a foam or plastics environment.
• Proven experience leading complex engineering initiatives and managing technical staff.
• Degree or heav experience
• Proficiency in CAD, technical documentation, and MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint, Office 365).
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs and perform physical tasks as needed.
• Willingness to respond to emergency calls after hours in a 24/7 production setting.
• Preferably located within 30 minutes of the facility.
Preferred Qualifications
• 5+ years of engineering experience, including 3+ years in a project management/engineering management role.
• Background in plastics, extrusion, or similar manufacturing is highly desirable.
