Job Title: Welder and Fabricator Job Description We are seeking a skilled Welder/Fabricator to fabricate and assemble material for various types of finished assemblies according to drawings and blueprints. The ideal candidate will have the ability to layout structural steel, operate cutting torches and other tools, and prepare materials for fitting and welding. This role requires a strong understanding of shop mathematics and the ability to read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
Responsibilities • Fabricate and assemble material for finished assemblies according to drawings and blueprints.
• Layout structural steel using work points, linear dimensions, angular dimensions, and three-dimensional conceptualization.
• Operate cutting torches, hand grinders, drills, and other hand and power tools.
• Prepare materials for fitting and welding, including beveling edges of steel for full penetration welds.
• Cut, drill, grind, bevel, and otherwise modify materials to conform to specifications and dimensions provided on fabrication drawings.
• Create templates, fixtures, and jigs to safely and accurately assemble pieces into the finished product.
• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings.
• Understand shop mathematics.
• Perform tack welding and MIG welding.

Work Environment This role is based in a fabrication shop where conditions can be hot in the summer and cold in the winter. The environment can be dirty and requires appropriate attire. Shifts are Monday to Thursday from 4:30 PM to 3:00 AM, and Friday to Sunday from 6:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with 36 hours of work paid as 40 hours.
Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $46000.00 - $54080.00/yr.
