Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager at Hazeltine Nurseries to oversee our financial operations, ensure compliance with accounting standards, and drive process improvements. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial reporting, budgeting, and internal controls, with expertise in ERP systems.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Oversee daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and financial reporting.
• Manage accounting team personnel as assigned.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with GAAP/IFRS.
• Lead the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Manage tax compliance, audits, and financial reporting requirements.
• Develop and implement internal controls to enhance financial accuracy and reduce risk.
• Assist in budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support business decisions.
• Train and mentor junior accounting staff to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, industry regulations, and best practices.
Required Eperience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• A minimum of 3 – 5 years of accounting or finance.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP/IFRS and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and financial reporting tools.
• Knowledge/experience in construction accounting (revenue recognition ASC 606) is a plus.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and leadership skills.
Preferred Experinece
• Proficiency in using and navigating ERP systems.
• Experience working with NetSuite/Aspire.
• CPA, CMA, or equivalent certification preferred.
• Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance.
• Experience in process automation and efficiency improvements.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
