PrideStaff Greenville is seeking an experienced Extrusion Operator on behalf of our client in Mauldin, SC.
The Extrusion Operator - Extrudes blown film that exceeds customer's expectations by producing high quality film, produced on time as efficiently as possible. Schedule is 36 hrs one week and 48 hrs the next.
The Extrusion Operator Responsibilities include:
• Extrude film as specified by the work order
• Set up each order properly according to the work order and the standard operating procedures
• Maintain extrusion equipment by closely monitoring the machines and product that is being extruded. Make any repairs or adjustments necessary to assure that the machines are running at the optimal level.
• Maintain & document film quality
• Record scrap on the "Daily Scrap Sheet" along with other requested information on this form. All scrap has a designated container.
• Communicate with QA and conversion operators for problem solving and product improvements.
• Follow all food safety guidelines
• Maintain a clean work area throughout the shift. Equipment must be properly cleaned every shift
The Extrusion Operator Qualifications include: • 1 year or more extrusion or related experience
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Strong communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Reliability – timeliness & attendance are critical
