Job Description
Requirements of the Job:
• Bachelors degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Chemical, Materials, or Electrical Engineering, or an alternate Engineering degree with equivalent experience will also be considered.
• 3-7 years of leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient in Solid Works or other CAD and 3D modeling software.
• Proficient in CNC programming.
• Experienced in the application of 3D Printers.
• Computer and ERP experience (MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, SAP, 365, etc.)
• Knowledge and demonstrated success in applying Lean Manufacturing concepts (yellow belt or higher preferred)
• Proven communication, analytical, and leadership skills.
• Ability to solve on complex problems and effectively teach highly technical information.
• Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Must be able to work in the US.
Accountabilities:
*Maintains ownership of all manufacturing process to ensure safe, reliable, and efficient production of plastic modular belting.
*Manage standards, formats, and filing of technical drawings for belt & chain assemblies, sprockets, accessories, and customized components; ensuring conformance with ISO controlled document requirements.
*Obtain, maintain and share knowledge of conveyor OEMs, end users, and their associated applications; apply knowledge to tailor manufacturing practices to optimize value for our customers.
*Provide internal technical and product training as needed; to include equipment and processes in all applicable departments.
*Design and fabricate custom tooling, fixtures, jigs, gauges, guarding and general manufacturing apparatus utilizing in-house resources of CNC machining and 3D printing to improve safety, quality, and productivity of the manufacturing process.
*Providing the Maintenance Team with detailed instructions and BOM's for larger scale customized fabrications and technical support for purchased production equipment optimizing OEE while ensuring safe operation and maintenance schedules.
*Support Procurement activities by maintaining contact with local tooling, machine and fabrication shops for quotation of components and/or assemblies of significant complexity or volume which cannot be accommodated by internal resources.
*Maintain regular communication with counterparts at other global modular manufacturing locations; sharing ideas, best practices, and standardization.
*Support or lead all local equipment-related CapEx projects; provide technical analysis in generation of business case, ensuring the equipment specifications will meet all departments' requirements, establish FAT parameters with OEM, support SAT, manage project schedules, collaborate with safety and quality departments in generation of all necessary preproduction documentation, and following with tracking performance against expectations.
*Draft and maintain current and future state internal plant layout drawings, meeting the needs of all department stakeholders supporting efficient workflow and material movement; coordinate with third party architectural firm for generation of certified prints when necessary (e.g. building expansion, demolition, infrastructure, etc..).
*Conduct continual improvement activities engineering out variation and creating robust manufacturing processes based on customer feedback and quality KPIs maintained by the Quality Team.
*Ensures all safety procedures are followed by contractors and actively works to improve our safety program.
*Maintain and improve cleanliness, organization, visual management, and overall 5S to promote safe and efficient production.
*Takes leadership role in implementation of Lean Principals by applying the Ammega Production Process and actively working towards improvement, especially on assigned categories.
*Ensures all quality procedures are followed and actively works to improve our quality program.
*Develops team members for future advancement.
*Other duties as assigned.
