This Position is ONLY Open to Montgomery County Government Employees :
• Current Montgomery County Government employees;
• Montgomery County employees who was affected by reduction-in-force and currently have RIF priority rights;
• Active Montgomery County local fire and rescue department volunteers with at least 50 points under the length of service award program (LOSAP); or
• Active Project SEARCH Interns or former Montgomery County Government Customized Employment Public Interns, or Project SEARCH Interns within 24 months of completion of internship.
The expected salary range for this role on hire is $99,979 to $152,258.

The department facilitates business and reengineering processes to improve legacy workflow and streamline services to our customers.
WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
The Department of Technology and Business Enterprise Solutions (TEBS) is seeking an experienced Information Technology (IT) Supervisor to plan, coordinate, administer, and supervise the staff, operations, and services of product and business management relating to implementations of Artificial Intelligence and other innovative tools, initiatives, and systems. This position will reside in the TEBS Office of Change Management.
What You'll Be Doing The TEBS Office of Change Management IT Supervisor will report to OCM Manager and will supervise County employees and contract staff.
Duties include, but are not limited to:
• Create project plans, set priorities, workstreams and tasks for staff.
• Coach staff towards success in their workstreams.
• Create overall analysis standards, including supervision of business, product and user experience analysts.
• Create functional specification standards, including requirements gathering, process management, “as-is” landscape, and conduct gap analysis to map “to-be” state.
• Engage with organizational stakeholders to gather use cases.
• Engage with organizational stakeholders, vendors and TEBS staff to ensure projects are meeting deadlines and stated outcomes
• Lead structured testing efforts to include user acceptance, functional, and oversight of technical testing in a staged and iterative approach. Gather results to create revised functional specifications.
• Create dashboards and other reporting metrics to visualize productivity, output, and key performance indicators.
• Develop processes, procedures, policies, controls, and standards to help improve operations and services.
• Develop metrics and dashboards for operations management in clear and consumable methods, such as Power Business Intelligence.
• Conduct requirements analysis and consultant studies for IT solutions.
• Produce analysis, white papers, and studies for IT implementations, tools and products, and detailed evaluations of technical deliverables produced in each of the phases .
A criminal background and credit history check will be conducted on the selected candidate prior to appointment and will be a significant factor in the hiring decision .
Minimum Qualifications Experience : Six (6) years of professional experience in the information technology field in such areas as information technology (IT) project management, business analysis, and/or product management.
Education : Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Business Administration, Public Policy, Communications or related field
Equivalency : An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted.
Preferred Criteria, Interview Preferences All Applicants will be reviewed by the Office of Human Resources (OHR) for minimum qualifications. Those applicants who meet minimum qualifications will be rated “Qualified,” placed on the Referred List, and may be considered for an interview. Employees meeting minimum qualifications who are the same grade or higher will be placed on the Referred List as a “Transfer” candidate and may be considered for an interview.
Preference for interviews will be given to applicants with experience in the following:
• Experience developing creative solutions using technology resources to solve problems, improve efficiency, and enhance service-delivery for the benefit of internal and external customers.
• Experience promoting a data-driven mindset, developing innovative approaches to leverage data for strategic decision-making, and effectively representing and communicating complex data insights to diverse audiences to influence critical business decisions.
• Experience managing complex projects that involve cross-functional teams and multiple stakeholders.
• Proficiency in project management frameworks, strategic planning, resource allocation, conflict resolution, and mentoring junior staff.
