What Will I Do In This Role?
• Create models and prototypes for packaging or beauty shots.
• Maintain accurate records of raw materials used when making prototypes to ensure product BOMs include correct materials/quantities.
• Review and test new raw materials for crafting products and provide feedback on quality.
• Assist with gathering project components for freelance crafters.
• Research, identify and incorporate trends applicable to the craft market.
• Assist in propping of product photo shoots.
• Work with Marketing and Website teams to develop creative content and promotions.
• Assist with development of social media content for in-house brands.
• Assist as needed with providing appropriate responses to customer service questions and issues.
• Coordinate model stitching with overseas factories (scheduling, supplies, and invoicing).
• Assist as needed with checking components in pre-production samples and supplying feedback on quality.
What Skills Do I Need?
• Bachelor’s degree in a creative field or equivalent level of on-the-job training with craft products.
• 5 years of creative design experience and an understanding of basic production processes.
• Experience with needlecrafts (cross stitch, embroidery, needlepoint) and textile arts (sewing, quilting). Experience with crochet and knitting a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and close attention to detail, excellent ability to collaborate with others, and an engaging and self-motivating work ethic.
• Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign) and Microsoft Excel.
• Willingness to travel occasionally.
