About this Opportunity
The Office of Teacher Education Services is accepting internal BSU applications for a Licensing Advisor. This posting is open to current Ball State University employees only. All external candidates (including current Ball State University students) are not eligible to apply for this position and will not be moved forward in the hiring process.

Requires successful completion of a background check.
Position Function
Liaison between Ball State University and the Indiana Department of Education (state licensing agency); evaluate transcripts for all old and new licensing programs to determine eligibility; recommend educational licensing for all students, teachers, administrators and school service personnel who qualify; serve as resource and authority for all professional educational licensing matters at the university.
Minimum Education
Bachelor's degree or equivalent.
Minimum Experience
One year of related experience in higher education.
Minimum Other Authorization to work in the US
Candidates for searches must have current authorization to be employed in the U.S. without employer sponsorship.
Preferred Education Preferred Experience
Possession of a teaching license; prior license advising experience with an educational institution; prior experience coding licenses for an educational institution.
Preferred Other
Experience working with the Indiana Department of Education.

Prepare, collect and log all license application materials; prepare and code state license recommendations; indicate type of license to be granted; prepare license applicant record in appropriate database.

Serve as academic and license advisor to graduate students, non-degree/licensure only students, and undergraduate students who are pursuing educational licensing goals regarding teacher testing requirements and the license application process.
