Raekar Residential Job Description Position: Assistant Security Administrator Classification: Full-time salary exempt Reports to: Facility Administrator General Information: The Assistant Facility Administrator works under the direct supervision of the Facility Administrator. This person is basically responsible for the safety & security of the residents as well as the staff of the facility. This person works hand in hand with the Facility Administrator in keeping the facility in compliance with State & Federal requirements. Manage the Security Supervisors to ensure Policy and Procedures. Duties/Responsibilities: · Completes all security reports that are required by the state and submits such reports as required to the proper agency or person. · Complete Incident Reports and Fidelity Checks. · Make sure all Shift and schedules are met according to Policy. · Gives performance reviews of all shift supervisors.\ · Ensure Facility is adequality maintained to meet licensure standards. · Attend and participate in administrative meetings. · Assist the Admissions Administrator in the acceptance of referrals into the program. · Collect resident’s disciplinaries, review and investigate to determine the outcome of D-Board, total points and review/assign phases weekly. · Available to assist directly with delicate situations. · Provide Overside to ensure Safety and Security. · Manage Budget for Commissary, supplies, etc.. · Collect any resident grievances. · Report any resident and/or staff issues to the Facility Administrator. · Ensure that all fire drills, tornado drills, etc. are being conducted and documented accordingly. · Ensure phase residents receive their snacks accordingly. · Ensure staff are applying themselves to their respective positions as they should and are being held accountable if they are not. · Ensure that all staff conducts themselves in a firm, non-offensive, professional manner at all times. · Oversee staff in charge of Booking. · Provide oversight and review of booking process. · Participate in the PQI program as requested. · Provide on-going training to improve staff skills. · Ability to pass all SLED and Training Requirements. · Ensure all behavior management systems are in place and followed by staff. · Follow all Policies and Procedures of Raekar Residential. · Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by the Facility Administrator. · Demonstrate cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity. · Support the Raekar Residentials mission statement and approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion. · Ability to supervise and manage security officers · Must be 21 years of age. · 3 Years Correctional, detention, and security experience. Required Skills and abilities: · Excellent verbal communication skills · Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. · Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines. · Ability to adapt to the needs of the Facility administrator, organization, and employees. · Ability to prioritize tasks. · Ability to follow instructions and provide follow-up communication. Education and Experience: · Must have a high school diploma or GED. · Must have a current valid license in the state of employment to transport youth. · 5 years of experience preferred in a juvenile facility in a supervisory position. Physical Requirements: · Prolonged periods of sitting, standing, or walking. · Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times. · Must pass a drug test.
