Job Summary Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness is seeking a Project Manager to work closely with our management team, other Suncoast Partnership team members, and the community in the overall implementation, monitoring and evaluation of the Oneby1 Coordinated Entry System. The mission of the Suncoast Partnership to End Homelessness (SPEH) is to prevent and end homelessness by uniting the communities of Manatee and Sarasota Counties through engagement and collaboration with business and civic leaders, service providers, faith-based organizations, advocates, concerned citizens, and people who are homeless or at risk of homelessness. SPEH encourages and expects a high degree of cooperation and collaboration among its staff and stakeholders. The specific duties of each position require flexibility and cooperation to achieve organizational goals and objectives. The Project Manager will be responsible for the overall management of the Oneby1 coordinated entry system for the Manatee and Sarasota Continuum of Care. Specific duties include but are not limited to providing daily oversight by monitoring new intakes, reviewing prioritization and by-name lists, and working with service providers. You will make sure Policies and Procedures are followed as well as facilitate weekly case conferences. You will work closely with service providers within the Continuum of Care to provide system support. Advocacy for clients and monitoring of their progress will be a priority. There will be training sessions to attend as well as some you may be asked to provide. Supervision of other team members may be required. There will be assignments that we have yet to imagine. This position is largely administrative and behind the scenes in nature…but extraordinarily important. Our ultimate goal, if you really think about it, is to put ourselves out of business. ENDING homelessness is the target. We are looking for someone who embraces the magnitude of that vision. To be successful in this role – the Project Manager needs to: Bring passion and enthusiasm to the role. If it were an easy job, we wouldn’t have to recruit candidates. There will be challenging days and challenging individuals with whom to interact. You will need to relate to them as a compassionate professional and earnestly want to help. Be detail-oriented and see the big picture at the same time. Be able to work effectively with vulnerable populations, people experiencing trauma, economic poverty, incarceration, substance use, developmental delays, compromised mental health, and many other situations/circumstances that have impacted housing stability. Be a collaborator. While there are individual tasks, this is a team sport and the team includes members from the entire community. Be on time. Make an extra effort. Be High Energy. Have a positive attitude. Be coachable . You must be the person you want to work with. Qualifications While candidates who are Bachelor’s prepared are desired, we will consider applicable experience in lieu of a degree. You must have basic computer and data entry skills. You must have reliable transportation, a valid driver’s license and insurance. You must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English. It is a plus if you speak Spanish or other languages. You will be regularly required to stand, sit, talk, hear, and use your hands and fingers to operate a computer and telephone. Light to moderate lifting is required. You must be able to truthfully answer that you are NOT a robot. Working Conditions The workplace is primarily in an office and in the community with clients and providers. Street outreach may be necessary and could include the woods, under bridges and such. Travel through the Continuum of Care is required as are the occasional outdoor activities.
