Raekar Residential Job Description Position: Security Supervisor Classification: Full-time hourly Reports to: Facility Administrator/AFA General Information To provide daily care of residents in the facility and supervise the Youth Security Officers, following all criteria set by Raekar Residnetial, The state of South Carolina, and Sled implementation of the rules and policies set by the governing state authorities, to provide safety and security withing the facility. Duties/Responsibilities: · Oversee that meals, recreation, showers, medication, and phone calls are being done in the timely manner allotted. · Oversee and respond to incidents in a calm and problem solving manner. · Ensure that if a new resident comes in on shift, that their linens, pillows, hygiene items ready for them to use as soon as they arrive. · Perform intake on new residents and keep daily logs. · Participate in reporting and handling of crisis situations while maintaining discipline following State guidelines. · Establish good rapport with residents and teach Independent Living Skills. · Report Quickly to delicate situations. · Monitor residents for a safe environment at the facility. · Ensure room cleanliness and room compliance is met. · Provide mentoring and training while ensuring that youth care workers are working within the guidelines of the therapeutic milieu to provide support to residents. · Give performance reviews of all youth care workers of your shift. · Ensure that all staff conducts themselves in a firm, no-offensive, professional manner on shift. · Responsible for holding staff accountable for their actions or lack of action. · Ensure that counts are being done on radios and keys (supervisor, vehicles, etc.). THIS IS TO BE DONE ON EVERY SHIFT DAILY! NO EXCEPTION! · Follow all applicable Policies and Procedures of Wayne Halfway House, Inc. · Demonstrate competency in cultural knowledge, awareness, and sensitivity. · Perform any other job-related duties as assigned by Facility Administrator and AFA request. · Support the Wayne Halfway House, Inc. mission statement and approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion. · Complete and Encourage Search Procedures are Implemented. · Ensure Log Books are completed accurately and thoroughly. · Must be able to obtain Sled Certification. Physical Requirements: · Prolonged periods of standing and walking. · Must be able to lift up to 25 pounds at times. · Must pass a drug test.
