Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Quality Assurance Clerk to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring that our products meet the highest quality standards. This position involves working closely with various departments to implement quality assurance processes and maintain compliance with industry regulations. The ideal candidate will play a key role in obtaining first-piece approvals, monitoring production, implementing 5S methodologies, and upholding our food defense program in alignment with AIB (American Institute of Baking) standards. Duties Utilize vision inspection systems and precision measuring instruments to assess product quality. Obtain and document first-piece approval from customers to ensure product specifications are met. Monitor and document hourly production processes, verifying correct component usage and maintaining package integrity per customer requirements. Develop and implement 5S processes (Sort, Set in Order, Shine, Standardize, Sustain) to improve workplace organization and efficiency. Maintain and enhance the food defense program, utilizing AIB inspection methodology to achieve high audit ratings. Accompany AIB inspectors during facility audits and assist in addressing any findings. Investigate and respond to corrective actions for non-compliance, ensuring timely resolution and process improvement. Qualifications Knowledge of AIB standards, 5S methodology, and food defense programs. Proven experience in a quality assurance role, preferably within a manufacturing or laboratory environment. Familiarity with vision inspection systems, precision measuring instruments, and QA/QC methodologies. Experience conducting quality audits and implementing corrective actions based on findings. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently as well as part of a team. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively convey quality-related information.
