Refrigeration Project Engineer
We are looking for a Project Engineer who can deliver projects of varying size and complexity for a luxury refrigerator product line. The successful candidate for this position will be able to take a project from the conceptual stage through to completion, including the hands-on construction of prototype units for test. The candidate must be a self-starter and able to work independently with minimal direction.
Responsibilities and Duties
1.     Assemble and test prototype refrigerators with direction from Senior Engineer(s) for a new product launch.
2.     Identify and execute projects including product line maintenance, quality / cost improvements, new product design within a factory environment.
3.     Work in areas of sheet metal part design, plastic part design, and die cast part design.
4.     Justify resources for cost and quality improvement projects based on simple payback analysis.
5.     Work with a Designer to develop CAD project drawings.
6.     Provide weekly project status updates to the project manager.
Qualifications and Skills
1.     Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering required.
2.     Coursework and/or 2+ years of experience with sealed refrigeration systems and/or HVAC systems required.
3.     0 - 2 years Project Engineer experience required. Experience in consumer goods factory setting is preferred.
4.     Excellent project management skills.
5.     Wiring and electronics experience a plus.
6.     Excellent personal communication skills working with process partners in Marketing, Procurement, Manufacturing, and Service.
7.     CAD experience in SolidWorks or SolidEdge a plus.
