Overview:
Insure Technology is currently partnering with one of our key strategic clients, a leading insurance organization, to identify a hands-on Guidewire Data Architect to join their growing team as they undergo a major digital transformation and modernization. This individual will play a key role in designing and implementing scalable, secure, and high-performance data solutions with a focus on Guidewire applications and modern cloud-based architectures.
Responsibilities:
• Design and implement robust data architecture solutions around Guidewire InsuranceSuite (PolicyCenter, BillingCenter, ClaimCenter), DataHub, and InfoCenter.
• Lead data integration initiatives across enterprise systems using modern ELT/ETL pipelines and cloud-native tools (e.g., Azure Data Factory, SSIS, etc.).
• Collaborate with engineering and business teams to build cloud-based data platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) using data lakehouse principles.
• Architect and optimize data pipelines leveraging technologies such as Databricks, Kafka, Spark, Flink, and other streaming platforms.
• Ensure best practices in data governance, security, and compliance (GDPR, CCPA, SOC2, etc.) are met.
• Support advanced analytics and reporting efforts by enabling seamless integration with BI tools (Power BI, Tableau, Looker, SAP BusinessObjects).
• Contribute to data strategy discussions, architecture reviews, and long-term technology planning.
• Provide guidance and mentorship to junior data engineers and cross-functional stakeholders.
• Use Jira or similar tools to manage and track progress across projects and teams.
Qualifications:
• 5+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or similar roles—ideally within the insurance or financial services industries.
• Proven hands-on expertise with Guidewire InsuranceSuite, DataHub, and InfoCenter.
• Strong experience with cloud data platforms and architecture patterns (Azure preferred).
• Proficiency in SQL, Databricks, and modern data engineering tools and practices.
• Experience with real-time data streaming, APIs, and microservices-based integrations.
• Solid understanding of data security and compliance standards.
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks and MLOps is a plus.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills with a collaborative, solution-driven mindset.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
