Customer Operations Assistant

We are seeking a (Weekday Flexible Part Time) Customer Operations Assistant to join our dedicated team. This position is ideal for a motivated, detail-oriented individual who thrives in a dynamic environment and is eager to contribute across customer service, order fulfillment, technical support, and sales operations.
Position Summary
The Customer Operations Assistant will play a key role in ensuring a high-quality customer experience and supporting internal operations. This position requires someone who works independently, possesses strong communication skills, organized mindset, and the flexibility to manage a variety of administrative, technical, and logistical tasks. Prior experience is a plus, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities
-Customer Service & Support
-Answer inbound calls and emails; route inquiries appropriately and ensure timely follow-up.
-Assist with order processing and some technical support (training provided).
-Draft internal and external communications, including newsletters, flyers, and marketing emails.
-Maintain and update customer, product, and inventory databases.
Warehouse & Fulfillment Coordination
-Pick, pack, and label customer orders accurately using internal software.
-Safely operate a pallet jack or push cart to organize and transport items.
-Coordinate parcel and LTL shipments, including tracking and issue resolution.
Sales & Business Development Support
-Assist with customer outreach, lead generation, and sales follow-up tasks.
-Support the sales team with product availability checks, quote preparation, and onboarding new accounts.
-Participate in marketing initiatives and identify upsell opportunities.
Internal Operations & Collaboration
-Serve as backup to management during absences and provide support with scheduling or urgent communication.
-Assist with general office/warehouse operations.
-Participate in team meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
Qualifications
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
-Strong attention to detail, with the ability to follow through on tasks independently.
-Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams), Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, Reviews, Gmail); basic comfort with CRM and order management software.
-Positive attitude and interest in learning about technical products. Strong mathematical skills. Understanding of electric motors and other industrial electrical components.
Preferred Skills (Not Required)
-Previous experience in electrical distribution, supply chain, or industrial equipment technical support.
-Bilingual English and Spanish.
-Prior experience in an administrative, inside sales, or operations support role.
