Summary
Assist in the daily operations of the Recycling-Document Destruction Center. Ensure a safe and secure area for the use of the Inmate Work Release Supervision program administered by the courts. Coordinate the scheduling of material pickup as well as the procurement of payment.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
• Oversees Work Release Community Service Inmates assigned to work at the Recycle Center
• Answers all incoming calls
• Prepares log-in documentation on all work release individuals for the submittal of reports to the Sheriff’s office or CSCD
• Transports Work Release and Inmates to the recycling center or other assigned work areas
• Responsible for verifying the amount of money received matches to the amount of product sold
• Coordinates the tours of the facility from outside entities as well as prospective users of the facility
• Performs all other related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements
High School diploma or equivalent. Minimum of two (2) years related experience. Must be bondable. Must have a Basic County Corrections Certificate and State Jailer Proficiency License. Must possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Must have a valid Texas Driver’s License or Class “B” CDL license.
Physical Demands And Work Environment & Other Requirements
While performing the duties of this position, the incumbent is regularly required to drive, walk, stoop, stand, sit, bend, push and pull.
