Summary/Purpose
The IT Support Technician is responsible for the availability and utility of IT and OT components in JTEKT North America and associated regions. This position reports to the Supervisor of EUC.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities
1.Support a secure environment in cooperation with Security.
2.Resolve IT incidents as quickly as possible, prioritizing maintaining production.
a.Identify, document, and promote opportunities to allow non-IT associates to independently resolve issues where appropriate.
b.Identify opportunities to automate incident response.
c. Serve as onsite IT point of contact and coordinate priority one issue response.
3.Deliver IT services within agreed operation level agreements (OLAs). Identify requests that do not match an existing IT service and escalate appropriately.
4.Provide access to JTEKT resources consistent with JNA and IT policies.
5.Ensure trust with other parts of JNA through close cooperation and communication.
6.Identify and report risk to the above.
Job Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
·Subject Matter expertise
·Demonstrated Verbal and written communication skills
·Expertise in troubleshooting issues across multiple technical domains
Education and Experience
·three or more years developing subject-matter expertise preferred
·One or more areas of professional-level certification preferred
·Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred
Work Environment / Physical Demands
This position works “business hours” Monday through Friday, and as-needed to support the company. This position is typically within an assigned location, but travel to another location may be required one or more days each week.
Work is performed both in an office setting and in a manufacturing environment. Manufacturing areas require the use of personal protective equipment such as steel-toed shoes, safety glasses with side shields and mandatory hearing protection. Appropriate health and safety training and equipment will be provided, and safety practices must be observed. Requires ability to lift to 30 pounds and mobility within a manufacturing environment (including stairs and ladders).
