Job Description:
We are seeking a skilled Scrub Technician to join our team in Sarasota, FL. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures by preparing and maintaining the sterile field, passing instruments and supplies, and ensuring a safe and efficient operating room environment.
Responsibilities:
• Prepare and maintain the sterile field before and during surgical procedures
• Pass instruments and supplies to surgeons and surgical assistants as needed
• Assist with patient positioning and draping
• Maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
• Ensure all equipment is functioning properly and report any malfunctions
• Adhere to all safety protocols and infection control guidelines
Requirements:
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Completion of a surgical technology program or equivalent experience
• Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) preferred
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and lift/move heavy objects
