Der Dutchman, Sarasota is seeking a well-groomed, friendly, and customer-focused Host/Retail Cashier to join our team. Responsibilities:
• Greet guests warmly as they enter the restaurant and escort them to their tables.
• Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently.
• Provide menus and inform guests of daily specials.
• Handle cash, credit card, and other payment transactions accurately.
• Maintain a clean and organized front-of-house area.
• Answer phone calls, take reservations, and assist with takeout orders if necessary.
• Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues with professionalism.
• Work closely with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations.
Qualifications:
• Previous experience in customer service or hospitality preferred but not required.
• Professional appearance and well-groomed at all times.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to handle transactions accurately and responsibly.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
Job Type
• No Sunday hours
• Part-time - approximately 30 per week
• Work Monday through Saturday. May work more hours around holidays
