Job Description: We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Sheet Metal Duct Mechanic to join our team. As a Sheet Metal Duct Mechanic, you will be responsible for fabricating, assembling, installing, and maintaining HVAC duct systems and other related sheet metal products. Key Responsibilities: Fabricate, assemble, install, and maintain ductwork for HVAC systems according to blueprints and specifications. Measure and cut sheet metal using appropriate tools and equipment. Ensure the proper fitting of sheet metal components and ductwork. Install and secure ductwork in commercial and residential buildings. Ensure all work is done safely and up to code, adhering to local and federal regulations. Being able to read Blueprints. Collaborate with other team members to complete projects on time and within budget. Perform routine inspections and repairs of existing ductwork systems. Maintain a clean and organized work environment. Troubleshoot and resolve any issues with ductwork or HVAC systems as needed. Requirements: Proven experience as a Sheet Metal Duct Mechanic or similar role. Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, ductwork installation, and sheet metal fabrication. Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings. Proficient with hand and power tools. Good understanding of safety protocols and building codes. Physical ability to lift and move heavy materials. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. Strong communication skills and ability to work well with others. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Certification in HVAC or related field is a plus (but not required).
