Job Overview We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in fabrication and assembly, with the ability to read blueprints and work with various tools and equipment. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that components are accurately assembled and meet quality standards. This position requires attention to detail, technical expertise, and a commitment to safety. Responsibilities Interpret blueprints and technical drawings to determine specifications and assembly requirements. Utilize various tools such as plasma cutters, power tools, and welding equipment (FCAW, Stick welding) for fabrication tasks. Assemble ductwork and other components according to specifications, ensuring precision and quality. Operate forklifts for the movement of materials and finished products within the facility. Conduct measurements using calipers and micrometers to ensure proper fit and alignment of parts. Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to all safety protocols. Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot issues during the assembly process. Experience Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within the manufacturing or construction industry is preferred. Familiarity with plasma cutting, FCAW, Stick welding, ductwork assembly, and blueprint reading is essential. Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively. Experience operating forklifts is a plus. Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions accurately.
