Barton Campus GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES The Speech Communication department, which is part of the School of Arts and Sciences, invites applications for an Instructor/Assistant Professor in Speech Communications. The Speech Communication faculty at Greenville Technical College teach about 3000 students from many programs across campus each year. Twelve faculty teach in Speech Communication and help students develop the practical skills of public speaking, interpersonal communication, and intercultural communication, and apply those skills in their fields of study or transfer to four-year institutions. The department is committed to preparing students for their chosen career and for a baccalaureate degree. In this challenging role, you will support the Speech Department at Greenville Technical College. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS A Doctorate or Master's degree in Speech OR a Doctorate or a Master's degree with 18 graduate hours in Speech. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS Have the ability to work with colleagues/students and to convey knowledge in a form that students can understand. Adaptable to students' needs, to different teaching situations, and be able to motivate students. Able to work in teams and independently. Previous teaching experience.
