Big Voodoo Interactive - We are looking for hire a Mid to Senior Level Web Developer to work as part of our exceptional dev team. You will be responsible for creating new websites, building, and extending large-scale complex web and mobile applications, and providing technical support to the rest of the company for clients or internal processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced digital agency environment, is highly collaborative, and is eager to take ownership of both client-facing and internal projects. Having experience in a high-paced online agency world is a huge plus. Responsibilities: Develop, build, and maintain new and existing WordPress websites Provide technical support for clients and internal teams Translate designs into responsive, pixel-perfect front-end code Extend and develop custom WordPress themes and plugins Work on back-end integrations and API connectivity Support and improve internal tools and development workflows Required minimum qualifications include, but are not limited to: BS in Computer Science or equivalent hands-on experience (freelance/project-based accepted) Advanced proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, PHP , and MySQL Experience developing with WordPress , including custom plugins and APIs Ability to convert designs from tools like Figma, Sketch, Zeplin, or Photoshop into clean, modern code Comfortable using modern editors such as VSCode or Sublime Text Familiarity with version control systems like Git or SVN Solid understanding of DNS & zone records Nice-to-have qualifications, that are not required, include but are not limited to: Familiarity with modern frameworks/libraries: React, Angular, Node.js, Twig, jQuery, Tailwind, SASS/LESS Experience with deployment and build tools: Gulp, NPM, CI/CD, CLI Experience with AWS (EC2, S3, RDS, CloudFront, IAM) Familiarity with Cloudflare, GitHub, GitLab, WP Engine Experience with mobile app development and Docker -based environments Specific Attributes: Team-oriented, accountable, and proactive Strong organizational and documentation habits Able to accept and apply feedback constructively Adaptive, self-motivated, and always looking to improve Keeps a sense of humor in a fast-paced environment Job Type: Full-time Pay: $78,969.00 - $84,110.00 per year Benefits: 401(k) matching Dental insurance Flexible schedule Health insurance Life insurance Paid time off Retirement plan Vision insurance Compensation Package: Yearly bonus Yearly pay Schedule: 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Ability to commute/relocate: Sarasota, FL: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required) Experience: Front-end development: 1 year (Preferred) CSS: 1 year (Preferred) Angular: 1 year (Preferred) Work Location: In person
