Job Overview We are seeking a full time Safety Monitor to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing and monitoring our roofing crews to ensure they are using proper PPE, tying off and maintaining all OSHA and Blue Ridge Roofing safety requirements. This role requires a keen eye for detail, strong conflict management skills, and the ability to effectively report incidents as they arise. The Monitor will play a crucial role in maintaining a secure environment and responding to any emergencies that may occur. Duties Keep watch on the roofing crews to ensure they are wearing proper PPE. Ensure proper safety equipment is available and on-site at all times. Write detailed reports on observations, incidents, and actions taken during shifts. Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and policies within the monitored area. Participate in ongoing training sessions to enhance surveillance techniques and conflict management skills. Use company provided drone to take drone photos every 2 hours. Take photos on your phone and upload to company software every 2 hours. Clean up trash as needed. Requirements OSHA 30 certifications is preferred. Strong report writing skills with attention to detail. Ability to manage conflicts calmly and effectively under pressure. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, are essential for effective reporting and collaboration. Valid driver's license. Ability to use technology efficiently and effectively. Job Type: Full-time Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour Expected hours: 40 – 60 per week Benefits: Paid time off Schedule: 10 hour shift 12 hour shift 8 hour shift Monday to Friday Overtime Weekends as needed Work Location: In person
