Job Description This position performs work requiring advanced knowledge which is predominantly intellectual in character, and which routinely exercises discretion and judgment. The advanced knowledge is in a field of science or learning and gained through a prolonged course of specialized intellectual instruction, experience, and expertise acquired in the field.
Scope
The purpose of this position is to plan and perform work requiring sound technical judgment in the evaluation, organization, and execution of project management assignments worldwide. This role has the responsibility to perform the essential job duties and functions as listed below with the overall objective of managing and/or coordinating project activities that are in compliance with the contract and ensure the safety, quality, value, timeliness, and Fluor profitability of the completed project. Performing assigned general duties of limited scope and level of responsibility, this entry-level position is deigned to develop broader project management knowledge and experience. This role learns about and applies established procedures and techniques in accomplishment of work activities.
Principal Job Duties & Responsibilities
• Assist in the preparation of project procedures for performance of administrative, project, and
design tasks in accordance with Fluor Operating System Requirements (OSR), and applicable
Group’s Operating System Implementation Plan (OSIP) and contractual obligations
• Perform basic project engineering functions involving monitoring of progress, preparation of
procedures, documentation of communications and meetings, and identification/evaluation of
project issues and problems
• Assist in management and coordination of activities among all project functions and engineering
disciplines in accordance with the established project baseline
• Supports efforts of technical disciplines to ensure integrated and complete designs that meet
project requirements
• Support design efforts with vendors and licensors to ensure proper and complete integration
• Participate in work-sharing in accordance with distributed execution plan among multiple offices
• Participate in reviews project staffing requirements and coordinate staffing with supporting
functional organization managers and/or subcontractors
• Support creation and coordination of overall project plans and schedules, and monitoring
activities, progress, and milestones against the plans
• Support creation and coordination of project effort hours, and cost estimates and budgets, and
monitor progress and cost performance against these
• Support the preparation, delivery and coordination of project deliverables, design documents,
and bid packages
• Support the coordination between design, procurement/construction for integration of
technical content and schedule activities
• Support identification and evaluation of issues and events that may constitute an increase or
decrease in project or service scope, cost, or schedule and escalate as appropriate
• Prepare, as directed, documentation for meetings or communications concerning project
contractual or technical issues
• Participate in the coordination of meetings related to project operations, internal issue
resolution, and communications with the client
• Support internal and client project and design reviews
• Support preparation of status and progress reports for project management, the client and
Fluor’s senior management
• Coordinate and communicate project closeout requirements to entire project team
• Analyze and make independent recommendations regarding solutions to problems with varying
complexity in accordance with organization and/or project objectives and guidelines
• Organize and prioritize a variety of projects and multiple tasks in an effective and timely
manner, set priorities, and meet deadlines
• Plan and organize own work assignments, as well as carry out tasks from management staff
• Maintain compliance with all applicable policies, procedures, and global standards
• Adhere to and support Fluor's Health, Safety & Environmental and Sustainability Policies
• Effectively develop and apply the Core Skills to the job
• May need to travel to attend to business related matters
• Meet expectations on attendance and punctuality

Basic Job Requirements • Accredited four (4) year degree or global equivalent in engineering field of study and four (4) years of work-related experience; a recognized professional certification or registration in the applicable field, if required; some locations may have additional or different qualifications in order to comply with local requirements
• Ability to communicate effectively with audiences that include but are not limited to management, coworkers, clients, vendors, contractors, and visitors
• Job related technical knowledge necessary to complete the job
• Ability to learn and apply knowledge of applicable local, state/province, and federal/national statutes and guidelines
• Ability to attend to detail and work in a time-conscious and time-effective manner

• Utilize knowledge management communities to capture, support and leverage relevant knowledge to enhance project execution
• May participate at vendor trade shows and become familiar with the new technologies and industry business direction
Preferred Qualifications • Minimum of three (3) years of experience in engineering, procurement, fabrication, and
construction/construction management (EPFC/CM) industry including the performance of
functional tasks on projects with a basic understanding of procedures and interfaces
• Customer focused with ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships while
meeting the company’s needs
• Demonstrated strategic thinking, accountability, and adaptability skills
• Ability to set and maintain high standards of performance with responsibility and accountability
for successfully completing assignments and task
• Proactive reporting of progress and accomplishments of assignments and apply necessary
follow-up to monitor progress and results of project tasks and assignments
• Analytical approach to problem solving and identifying potential solutions
• Technical writing skills
• Basic computer and software skills to include the use of word processing, email, spreadsheets,
electronic presentations, and project management tools
• Certification in project management suggested, for example Project Management Professional
(PMP
Role within the project management organization tasked with the execution of key project procurements and contracts. Scope will include ensuring delivery of equipment design documents on time and of sufficient quality to reach engineering completion. Familiarity with scheduling, nuclear safety, and government earned value preferred. This role will interface regularly with procurement, contracts, engineering, construction and suppliers. Experience with procurement is preferred.
Salary Range 84,000 to 146,000
Market Rate The market rate for the role is typically at the mid-point of the salary range; however, variations in final salary are determined by additional factors such as the candidate’s qualifications, relevant years of experience, geographic location, internal pay equity, and prevailing market conditions for the specific role.
